RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF ROSEDALE
REGARDING LOCAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN 2016-01 – BY-LAW NO. 3-2016
FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A WATERLINE SYSTEM
You are receiving this letter as notification that we are in the final stages of constructing the RM of Rosedale Rural Waterline System. Contractors will be in contact with you to make an appointment to install a water meter on your property in the next few days. We anticipate all meters will be installed within the next two weeks. Once installed, the RM of Rosedale will have an employee inspect the connection and give the first reading.
Please be advised that it is your responsibility to contact a plumber to connect the new water line to your existing plumbing. This expense is in addition to the cost of this project and will not be paid by the Rural Municipality of Rosedale. The meters being installed are fitted with a transmitter which will allow meter readers to read your water meter from the street or road and eliminate the need for them to gain access inside your home to read the meter in the future.
As this project will not be entirely complete until spring, we will not be able to provide you with the final expenses involved as a debenture or full payment for waterline installation until March of 2018. At that time, we will send a letter to inform you of the final amount owing as well as give 30 days’ notice for you to determine whether you would like to have the payments added to your annual tax bill as a debenture or acquire alternate financing to pay the total amount in full.
Although there have been adjustments, a copy of the original Local Improvement Plan No. 2016-01 is available at the Rural Municipality of Rosedale municipal office at 282 Hamilton Street, Neepawa or available for viewing on our website at: www.rmofrosedale.com
