RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF ROSEDALE

March 13, 2015

Minutes of the regular Meeting of Council of the Rural Municipality of Rosedale held on the above date in the Municipal Office, Neepawa, with the following members present: Reeve Bill Martin, Councillors Ernie Schure – Ward 1, Robert Scott – Ward 2, Steve Pegoski – Ward 3, Ron Kostenchuk – Ward 4, Michael Porrok – Ward 5, Duane Stewart – Ward 6

That this regular meeting of Council convene at 10:00 a.m. with Reeve Bill Martin as chairman.

That Be It Resolved that the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale approve the Agenda for March 13, 2015.

That the minutes of the regular meeting held February 13, 2015 be adopted as circulated.

That we adopt the February 2015 financial statements.

That the Council approve the accounts for the month and amounts as follows:

February 2015              $117,853.34        $1,412.75

That we the R. M. or Rosedale agree to enter into an Agreement for Payment of Arrears with David Brand Gamache;

And furthermore authorize the Reeve and CAO sign the Agreement between the R. M of Rosedale and David Brand Gamache.

That By-law 1-2015 be now read a second time.

That By-law 1-2015 being a by-law of the R. M. of Rosedale to prescribe a fee chargeable for Tax Certificates be now read a third time, passed, signed and sealed.

That By-law 3-2015 being a by-law of the R. M. of Rosedale to govern the proceedings and conduct of the Council of The Rural Municipality of Rosedale and Committees thereof, be now read a third time, passed, signed and sealed.

That By-law 02-2014 be now read a second time.

That By-law 02-2014 being a by-law of the Rural Municipality of Rosedale to provide for Quarterly Water rates in the LID of Eden and the collection thereof be read a third time, passed, signed and sealed.

That we the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale agree to pay for ½ of the low level signs that were purchased and erected on the Rossburn Subdivision Trail at Springhill Colony in the amount of $216.00.

That we agree to grant the 4-H Beef Interclub $100.00 for their Show and Sale at the Neepawa Fair Grounds on Wednesday, July 1, 2015.

That we the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale agree to grant the local 4-H Beef Club $400 for their 2015 Show & Sale.

That we the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale authorize our Planning Committee to attend the 2015 Planning Conference and that allowable expenses be paid.

That we agree to grant the Kelwood Arboretum Garden $300 for the maintenance and other projects for 2015.

That we the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale accept the tender from P. Baker Backhoe in the amount of $3500 plus GST for the demolition of the Eden Memorial Curling Rink.  Demolition to be completed by June 30, 2015.

That By-law 5-2015 being a by-law of the Rural Municipality of Rosedale to regulate and control the mining of aggregate in the Rural Municipality of Rosedale be read a first time.

That we agree to grant $400.00 to Val Wilson for social at Yellowhead Hall for five victims to offset costs.
