RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF ROSEDALE

December 11, 2015

Minutes of the regular Meeting of Council of the Rural Municipality of Rosedale held on the above date in the Municipal Office, Neepawa, with the following members present: Reeve Bill Martin, Councillors Ernie Schure – Ward 1, Robert Scott – Ward 2, Steve Pegoski – Ward 3, Ron Kostenchuk – Ward 4, Michael Porrok – Ward 5, Duane Stewart – Ward 6

That this regular meeting of Council convene at 10:00 a.m. with Reeve Bill Martin as chairman.

That Be It Resolved that the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale approve the Agenda for December 11, 2015.

That the minutes of the regular meeting held November 13, 2015, and the special organizational meeting held November 16, 2015 and the special meeting held December 3, 2015 be adopted as circulated.

That we adopt the November 2015 financial statements.

That the Council approve the accounts for the month and amounts as follows:

That Whereas in accordance with Section 163 of the Municipal Act, the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale have made an interim operating budget of all operating and capital expenditures of the municipality and the Kelwood Water Utility for the period January 1, 2016 until the adoption of annual estimates:

That we the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale agree to pay $40 for the trapping of each beaver upon request by council within the Rural Municipality of Rosedale.

That we the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale request Manitoba Water Services Board’s assistance to complete Public Water Re-Assessments for the Kelwood and Eden Water Plant.

That we the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale agree to pay out the remainder of Colleen McLaughlin’s 10 days’ worth of holidays for 2015.

That we the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale authorize the following rates of discount to be effective during the 2016 tax collections:

Apr. 1 – 30 – 2 1/2%         May 1-31 – 2%                        June 1-30 – 1 1/2%

Mar 1 – 31 – 3 3/4%                   Apr 1 – 30 – 5%

15/247      That we the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale agree to purchase an ad for $72.00 in the Neepawa Banner for 2015 Christmas Greetings.

That we the Council of the R. M. of Rosedale agree to support the Beautiful Plains Community Foundation by donating $200.00 to the NHL Hat Auction to take place in March 2016.

Council set one-half day for December 24 and 31 and all day December 28 for closure of office for the holidays.
